If you've always gone to a salon to get your hair done you may not have thought about using a mobile stylist instead. Here's why you should.

Having your hair done at home is the ultimate pampering experience. It is convenient, you don't have to stop and find a break in your busy life. In fact, it is like being a celebrity: you get the full and undivided attention of your stylist (which should be Piers!), a consultation with no rush (unlike salons where other clients are waiting in line) and all the professional detailed expertise and perfectionism that Piers has.

When Piers comes to your home, he brings all his kit with him. After a chat about the look you're after, he'll assess your hair's texture and discuss what looks would suit/ could be accomplished. He'll let you know exactly what he'll do and you can have complete confidence that he takes a lot of pride in his work. He will take strand by strand of hair to foil them, and make sure your final look is absolutely, impeccably gorgeous. Without the salon price tag, of course.

How to: finger-wave hairdo

“Nothing says Old Hollywood glamour like '20s finger-wave hair,” says InStyle mag on their how to wear guide online. Here's a guide on how to achieve it.

1. Part your wet hair on the side and apply a good amount of styling hair gel with extra strong hold.
2. Placing your finger at the base of your forehead, press firmly alongside your parting and comb the hair gently backwards. Position your tail comb one inch from the side of your finger and gently push that section of hair back towards your finger to form a ridge. This is your first wave.
3. Repeat step 2 by putting your middle finger on the other side of the ridge to your index finger, then gently combing the free hair forwards again creating another wave. Continue to do so until the waves are running across your head and apply a light hairspray to set.

The best tip I can give you is to try to do this at least five or six times before you intend to wear this look. It will give you good practice and although the first time it may not work out, you’ll nail it by the sixth.
