I hope you enjoy and lets have a chat about them over coffee or a French Martini next time we have your appointment. x P

Some of the best products for Blondes

I say some of the best as I know that everyone has different hair and scalps and what may work for one, may not work for another.

With winter around the corner it is very important to spend a little more time on your hair and give it that little bit more TLC it deserves.

If you can't afford to spend the $$ always keep an eye out for the bargin bins at Salons and places like Hair-house Warehouse! They throw in all the old products and over stock!!!!

1. Redken Blonde Glam Perfect Platinum Colour Enhancer
This is hands down my go-to product to bright up my blonde hair — it enhances highlights better than any other product I’ve tried. And it smells amazing.

2. Fekkai Technician Colour Care Shampoo
Every time you shampoo, you strip your hair of colour — this shampoo helps reduce colour loss, brassiness and dullness.
I have just checked on Strawberry.net and there is a current sale on the this product and Protein RX shampoo! I really love Fredrica Fakkai's products as he never skims on quality

3. Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo Spray
We have all been there and been strapped for time, here's on of the best alternatives i've seen used and doesn't leave that powdery finish.

4. John Frieda Go Blonder Lightening Spray
To give your locks a lift in between touch-ups, this spray is great for lightening by a shade or two.
Also John Frieda offer a range of affordable shampoos that have proven great in some of my clients hair, you'll find some of his range in the supermarket :)

5. FREDERIC FEKKAI -Advanced Essential Shea Ultra Rich Mask
This is a superb conditioning treatment mask, that's formulated with shea butter and sweet almond protein ( sounds like something you'd eat!)  I know most you you don't feel you have the time to use a mask in your hair, but trust me, once you see the benefits for yourself you will make the time! you can always have pop in a mask when you have a face mask on and once a week treat your skin and hair to a deep cleanse.

Out of all the above I would say spend the money on a good mask as it will feed your hair back the nurtients dying and If all else fails and you are looking for a treatment shampoo - one that will strengthen and volumise then you can always turn to the trusty Egg yolk and rum! They are two of the key ingredients but don't be alarmed - they work to add volume and life to your hair like no other. If that fails... Drink the Rum and Eat the Eggs :)

I stumbled across this great website...

While researching I came across allure magazines website for beauty expert advice ~ I love their post on the Hair which covers everything from care to cuts, from colours to styles. Whats even better is they document on the flip-side of the globe... so we are the trend ahead and we can prep our hair ready for the season to come!

If you are stumbling for ideas on how to change your style... check out the trends for 2013 http://www.allure.com/hair-ideas/2013/best-hairstyles-for-2013#slide=21
they cover a range of different styles.

These styles are easy to create and very feminine, on your next appointment just ask how you can create the style OR better still ~ book in before an event and I can run you through how to create the style.

The only thing I found is a lack of short styles, so I will do some more research and get back to you all that are rocking a short crop!.... (I'm thinking colours :) )

Curls a Love/Hate Relationship

Naturally curly hair can be one of the hardest types of hair to maintain and control; hopefully with these hairdressing tips on the best Tools, Products and Techniques ~ I can help make styling and care easier for everyday wear.

Products for Curly Hair

Hydration is the key!!  All hair requires it own specific care management; with the correct techniques and products, taming your mane can be done with greater ease for everyday wear.

Shampoo
Hairstylists agree that when it comes to washing curly hair, less is definitely more. Shampoo as infrequently as possible: every other day if your hair is very fine; once a week if it's superthick. On days you don't wash it, just rinsing with water. And when you must lather up, use moisturizing products that contain ingredients like shea butter, palm oil, or avocado oil.
Product: Aveda Be Curly Shampoo it contains a blend of aloe and wheat protein that retracts around ringlets as they dry to help fight frizz

Conditioner
Give your curls a fighting chance against frizz by loading up on conditioner—twice. In the shower, slather on a rich conditioner that contains silicone (any ingredient that ends in "cone"); spread it on from roots to tips, leave it on for five minutes, and rinse thoroughly.
Turn tangles into tendrils with this whisper-light yet thorough curl-enhancing conditioner.

Then get ready for conditioner number two: Squeeze the water out of your hair, detangle with a wide-tooth comb, and apply a leave-in formula  starting an inch from the scalp and working it down to the tips. "Leave-in formulas deposit a uniform film of moisturizing polymers on the hair and create a humidity-resistant barrier," explains cosmetic chemist Jim Hammer.
Defines curls, detangles, hydrates, and prevents frizz

Treatment
Once a week treat your hair to a Nourishing mask ~ it only takes 10 minutes!! your hair will become silky soft and more manageable everyday.
It will Sumptuous plant butters and essential oils deeply nourish and strengthen, rejuvenating hair from within while minimizing breakage.
(I found this product on Strawberrynet at a cheaper price)
