“Nothing says Old Hollywood glamour like
'20s finger-wave hair,” says InStyle mag on their how to wear guide online. Here's a guide on how to achieve it.
- Part your wet hair on the side and apply a good amount of styling hair gel with extra strong hold.
- Placing your finger at the base of your forehead, press firmly alongside your parting and comb the hair gently backwards. Position your tail comb one inch from the side of your finger and gently push that section of hair back towards your finger to form a ridge. This is your first wave.
- Repeat step 2 by putting your middle finger on the other side of the ridge to your index finger, then gently combing the free hair forwards again creating another wave. Continue to do so until the waves are running across your head and apply a light hairspray to set.
The best tip I can give you is to try to do
this at least five or six times before you intend to wear this look. It will
give you good practice and although the first time it may not work out, you’ll
nail it by the sixth.
